B2007 - How do I make an object follow the cursor without the user first clicking it?

by - Joseph Ganci

Is there a way to get an object to follow the cursor on screen? I know this sounds like dragging, but for complicated reasons I just need to have an object follow the cursor without the user first clicking on it. There's probably some simple solution that I'm missing.

One way to do this: Set a perpetual motion icon for the object. Set it to be direct to grid, making the grid as big as the presentation window. Set the x and y coordinates to be base 0 to the width (and height) of your presentation window. Set the destination fields to cursorx and cursory. Ta da!
