1017 - Is there an easy way to get rid of a large number of variables at once?

by - Joseph Ganci

I usually make it a habit to remove old, outdated variables (a habit that my mentor taught me always to do).

Is there a way to quickly remove old, unused variables? The only way I know how to delete them is one-at-a-time. This gets old quickly with large numbers of unused variables.

No, but consider how much easier it is now. In the old days, when I was a little boy, when you scrolled down a list of Authorware variables and deleted one in the middle, the list would jump back up to the top again. So let's say you had 300 variables that all started with the word "student" (student_score, student_ID, student_IQ, student_bloodtype, student_numzits, etc.), every time you deleted one of the student variables, you would have to scroll all the way back down to the "s" variables again. This got old much much faster than the present case, where you stay put and can just click, delete, click, delete over and over.
